MAJESTY

Where do you live? Where do you come from?

MARTIN RICHARD

I live in Yukon, Canada but I grew up in Gatineau, Quebec. You know, where the poutine was invented!

MAJESTY

Favorite mountains.

MARTIN RICHARD

I’ll say Alaska but I don’t really have a favorite place. For me, the most important thing for having the best time of your life isn’t where you are but with who you are.

MAJESTY

Home Spot.

MARTIN RICHARD

White Pass, BC. It’s a mountain pass through the Boundary Ranges of the Coast Mountains sitting on the Alaska-BC boundary.

MAJESTY

Your first experience with skis.

MARTIN RICHARD

I’m a late bloomer. I played hockey and had no skier friend so when I was a kid and a teenager skiing for me wasn’t an option. Then, 12 years ago, I met a girl who skis. I skied for the first time on the bunny hill at 23 years old! It was really easy for me so after one run on the bunny hill I decided that I was ready to hit the big slopes. I knew at that moment that my life will never be the same. I told my girlfriend that from today my life will all be about skiing.

MAJESTY

Your favorite sports/hobby/activities

MARTIN RICHARD

Of course, skiing! Also mountaineering, hiking, fly fishing, running and hockey.

MAJESTY

What do you want to achieve with Majesty?

MARTIN RICHARD

Inspiring and making people aware that it is when we are in the company of this beautiful Nature that we understand its vulnerability and the importance of preserving its wild state. Every one of us is a part of Nature and we are all connected to her, every action has an effect on each other. Nature is our real home. Also, sharing the passion for the outdoors, inspire people to get out of their comfort zone, and transporting them to a world of extreme bliss and love for life. Skiing is not just a sport. Skiing is a community. Skiing is the people. Less ego, more fun!
