Where do you live? Where do you come from?
Daniel Husdal
I grew up in Longyearbyen, the northernmost settlement in the world, located on the island of Svalbard. I have been living there my whole life. Now I am working and studying on the mainland of Norway in a city called Tromsø, close to the Lyngen Alps.

Favorite mountains.

One of the best places I have skied is BC Canada. The Rocky Mountains are spectacular and receive lots of snow throughout the winter. I also really like to go to the Alpes from time to time.

I enjoy skiing in Svalbard. Cold temperatures, harsh weather, and natural hazards make skiing challenging, and in the end much more rewarding. It is always an adventure; the landscape and the wildlife are from a different world.

Your first experience with skis.
Daniel Husdal
I grew up skiing in my backyard on cross-country skis. All I wanted was to see how far I could fly and how fast I could go. Since most of the year is covered with snow, it is the best way to get around the town. My dad used to pull me on top of the local mountains with his snowmobile to ski down.

Your favorite sports/hobby/activities

I like mountain-based activities the most, such as mountain biking and climbing. I also really want to explore new places. In the summertime, you will find me on Svalbard climbing mountains, boating, hunting, and fishing.

Majesty is a relatively small ski company with ambitions to grow. I wanted to take part in this journey and help advance this company through the ski community in Norway. Majesty is an honest and true brand that is represented through all the great people working there. This motivates me to give back more.

Daniel Husdal
I have contributed to promoting the ski brand in my local skiing environment and Tromsø. I have taken part in various festivals and events such as the Svalbard Ski Touring Festival, Svalbard Expeditions Ski & Sail, and other events.

What do you want to achieve with Majesty?

I have a dream to one day be a part of a ski movie made in Svalbard. I know how remarkable Svalbard can be, and I want to show it to you.
