A letter from Antarctica.
When you first realize that 90% of King George Island is covered with glaciers, skitouring is the first thing that comes to mind.
I came here for the first time in 2011 and after 6 month spent on the glacier I knew that every line needs perfect preparation.
This time I will spent 12 months here.
I have got new duties, new plans, and new lines to ski. What am I waiting for? I’m waiting for “the window” favorable tides, free time, clim exploration, snow conditions… All those factors need to align at that one particular moment. Here in Antarctica, there us no room for mistakes or lost opportunities.
This is the end of the world. Literally.
